Tile Tracking – Never Lose Anything Again

We’ve reviewed a lot of different tracking devices in the past year, Trackr, Chipolo, TaoTronics, Ankr; and now we FINALLY are reviewing the Tile. And yes we know this has been out for a long time, BUT our viewers kept asking us how it compared to the other tracking devices we reviewed and well… We finally got the chance to review one.

Tile App Setup

To start, the setup process is pretty much identical to every other tracking device. Download the app from the play store or the app store and open it up and start the pairing process. We’re not going to go great in-depth with this because once you have the app open it’s pretty self-explanatory.

Once you pair the Tile you will be able to start tracking whatever you attach it too. You can attach or stick the Tile to whatever you want and then you will easily be able to use the App to ring your lost items. As long as your tile is within the 100-foot Bluetooth range, it will play a loud tune until you find it.

Besides being able to ring the Tile, you can also open the app to look at all the records of the last time and place it saw your item. So if you walk away from the 100 foot range, you will at least be able to find where you left it last.

If you are also having trouble finding your device you can also ask for the help of others who also use the Tile app. You can expand your search using all Tile apps in our community. This feature is 100% private, so no one knows you’re looking for a lost item but you.

Final Thoughts

After using this for about a week, we have come to the conclusion that this is pretty much identical to all the other tracking devices we have reviewed so far. Because of this we narrowed it down more to how the Tile looks compared to the other one. And we would have to say it’s bland and not as attractive to the Ankr. The Ankr you can at least pick any design you want for the device. The Tile is also a lot thicker than most of the ones we have reviewed as well.

Overall, we would say this is a pretty good tracking device and matches up to the rest of the ones we have reviewed. We would only say this is not as attractive as say the Ankr, and this is a lot thicker. The price is just about the same as all of them within a few dollars. But, If you are looking for a quality tracking device than we would recommend this!
